The goal of Seahawk Labs is to produce English Labs that are show quality, have natural hunting abilities and a wonderful temperament that makes them welcome in your home. Although Heidi was been our hunting companion for over 15 years, we were unsuccessful in breeding her. We purchased Sally and she has been the foundation of our English labrador breeding program. Then, we selectively choose studs that are not only beautiful but have sweet temperaments and all health clearances. Steele Labradors Champion Valcar Chief Steele made wonderful contributions to our lines. He and Sally produced many calm tempered and lovely labs including the majority of our current dogs all of which have OFA excellent or good hips. We have selectively added a few outside females and will continue to carefully select breeding dogs for disposition, beauty, health, conformation, and outstanding pedigrees that will continue to improve our program. I started showing with Sally and now regularly compete with the younger dogs in shows throughout Maryland and Virginia. We also compete in AKC hunt tests and have titled two of the dogs. All of our dogs have been raised in our home, are well socialized, and love to travel. They have been hunted, have strong retriever instincts and a natural love for the water. |
